New 100% electric model has a range of up to 280 km
Opel has announced that it is preparing to launch on the national market the new Combo-e Life, all electric, which will arrive next fall.
Opel’s new 100% electric model can have a or two sliding side doors, available in a ‘standard’ body version 4.4 meters long and in the XL version of 4.75 meters, both offering five or seven seats.
The Combo-e Life is equipped with a 136 hp engine and one with 260 Nm of torque, which allows for acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 11.2 seconds, while the maximum speed is electronically limited to 130 km / h.
The regenerative braking system, with two configurations, contributes to the efficiency of the whole set.
The electric motor is powered by a 50 kWh battery, with 216 cells and 18 modules, which is Hello under the floor, between the front and rear axles, so as not to compromise the use of the passenger compartment.
With this location, the battery also contributes to reduce the center of gravity, which benefits stability in crosswind and cornering situations.
Combo-e Life is compatible with a wide variety of infrastructures and recharge options, ranging from the wall box to the fast charging, passing through the connection to the domestic outlet, if necessary.
Using a public 100 kW DC fast charging station, battery charging , up to 80% of its capacity, takes about 30 minutes. The Combo-e Life can be equipped with an 11 kW three-phase on-board charger or a 7.4 kW single-phase charger.
Depending on the driving profile and the conditions of use, the new Combo-e Life has a range of up to 280 kilometers on a single charge of the lithium-ion battery.
Like its’ brothers ‘with petrol and diesel, the zero-emission Combo-e Life has also not compromised in terms of safety, comfort or convenience, and therefore has an extensive list of technologies and driving assistance systems, where the downhill speed control, lane maintenance assistance and driver fatigue alert, until road signs are recognized and front collision alert with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking.
Especially useful in parking maneuvers it is the panoramic rear camera that increases visibility to the rear and sideways. Users who need more traction on mud, sand or snow can also reinforce their Combo-e Life with the ‘IntelliGrip’ electronic traction control system.
As for space, the shortest five-seat version offers at least a 597-liter luggage compartment (850 liters in the XL version).
With the rear seats folded, the luggage capacity increases considerably, with the shorter version having a capacity of 2,126 liters, while the longer version can accommodate up to 2,693 liters of cargo.
In addition, the optional front passenger seat folding system allows you to increase the length of the space available for transporting long objects, such as surfboards, for example.
