In terms of responsibilities, Naughty Dog is looking for someone who can design the in-game economy and progression systems and research player behavior. Experience with in-game economies of multiplayer games and an understanding of a ‘narrative tone’ of games is also required.
It is still unclear for which game the position is is meant. In 2019, Naughty Dog announced that The Last of Us: Part 2 does not have an online mode , but that players later ‘ take advantage of the studio’s online ambition. Co-president Neil Druckmann also indicated that ‘several cool things’ are planned.
