Captain among two army personnel martyred in Waziristan encounter

RAWALPINDI: Two army personnel, consisting of a captain, were martyred on Sunday while two others were hurt in an exchange of fire with terrorists in Waziristan tribal district.

According to a declaration released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces were patrolling the location 5 kilometers south-east of Ghariom near the limit in between North and South Waziristan tribal districts when terrorists opened fire on them. Captain Sabih and Sepoy Naveed were eliminated in the exchange of fire while two other soldiers were hurt. One terrorist was likewise eliminated, the declaration added.
