At least 5 injured in Peshawar IED blast: police
PESHAWAR: At least 5 people were injured, consisting of 2 traffic police authorities, in an improvised explosive gadget (IED) surge on Peshawar’s Ashraf Roadway on Monday, Extra Inspector General (AIG) Shafqat Malik validated.
Following the blast, security forces cordoned off the location and moved the injured to close-by medical centers.
According to Malik, the bomb weighed around 2 kgs and was the prime reason for the occurrence. “The bomb was remotely detonated,” he stated, including: “The bomb was planted in a motorbike.”
He added that the target was obviously the police authorities on task. An examination is underway, he revealed.
