On Monday, WWE announced that they are moving the location from Tampa Bay to the Performance Center in Orlando.
After having the last couple of televised events at the WWE Performance Center, the sports entertainment giant announced on Monday that they will be moving WrestleMania 36 to its own backyard.
WrestleMania, which was scheduled to be held at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, has now been relocated to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. There was speculation that the event would be canceled altogether, thanks to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. As recently as Friday, the city of Tampa gave word that if WWE didn’t come to a decision on the event, they would more than likely cancel it for them. Needless to say, this forced WWE’s hand and they will now move it to their state-of-the-art training facility.
Practically every major sport has been drastically affected by novel coronavirus. Every company from MLB and the NFL to the XFL has had to alter its plans for this year. WWE will be no various, after having recently’s Friday Night SmackDown and today’s Monday Night Raw at the Performance Center.
