They weren’t delighted that their illegal party ended suddenly.
I’m informed the minute ravers saw flashing blue lights, everybody on the Havelock Close estate in White City, west London, began to distribute, spilling out into the streets.
Officers in riot equipment seen running towards the estate were met hostility.
Along With me were a big group of teens, all flinging bottles and stones.
I asked one male, who chucked numerous bricks at officers, why he was so mad.
“I just don’t like the way they turned up and were being so aggressive with us,” he informed me.
“We weren’t doing anything wrong.”
As officers pressed back versus the crowd with their guards, they broke up into little groups, running around the estate and tossing rockets at police vans.
At one point the scale of the violence overwhelmed the officers, requiring them to call in supports from other parts of the estate.
People living on neighboring streets informed me they were surprised to see what was occurring.
One male who had his car window smashed as he tried to leave the location stated he understood the party would leave control.
“I just can’t understand why the police don’t just get them off the streets. It’s all mad,” he screamed from his front door.
The unscripted nature of this event left police not able to keep up with the partygoers as a cordon was set up around what seemed the website of the unlicensed rave.
It left 7 officers hurt and was among lots of illegal celebrations in the capital city on Friday night.
