Three Toyota Supra variants are put to the test to get to know the fastest

A confrontation between Toyota generations Supra is always something for those who like this type of vehicles.

To get to know the team as soon as possible « Carwow » decided to take the new Supra 2.0 and 3.0 liters to the track, to measure forces with the old Mk4.

The Toyota Supra 2.0 liter with Matt Watson at the wheel has a turbo block, capable of delivering 258 hp of power, a torque of 400Nm and a eight-speed automatic transmission, for a weight of 1,395 kg.

The new 3.0-liter version with a six-cylinder in-line block from BMW, which it outputs a power of 340 hp and a torque of 500Nm, for a weight of 1,495 kg.

Finally the Mk4 version of the Toyota Supra, features a 3.0 liter tank six-cylinder in-line, which delivers 320 hp of power and a torque of 441Nm

It remains to be seen whether the new 3.0-liter, with greater power is capable of beating the two other models of the Toyota sports car.

As it turned out, the new Supra 3.0 liters, beat the competition in the race mile drag race, registering the time 13.3 seconds, while the 2.0 liter version ended in second position with 13 , 6 seconds, in front of the Supra Mk4 that was third with the record of 13.8 seconds.

In the second race, launched at 80 km / h in third speed, the new Supra 3.0 again revealed all its arguments, leaving the Mk4 in second position while the 2.0-liter version ended in third position.

Already in a variant of race launched, in third speed and with Sport mode, the two variants with blocks of 3.0 liters, once again revealed their full acceleration capacity, with the new model beating the competition again.

In the braking test at about 110 km / h, the new 3.0-liter Supra made the full by hitting the old Mk4, which ended in second position, in front of the new 2.0-liter version.
