Today is World Math Day, Happy Pi-Day!

International Pi Day is a celebration of one of the most famous numbers in mathematics. It has been held since March 14, 1988, as the digits of the date are equal to the value of the mathematical pi to two decimal places. Anno started as a half joke when physicists ate pie, walked around and told the digits of pi (3.14). Not to be confused with Pi Approximation Day on July 22, when the approximate value of pi (22/7) is commemorated worldwide

It is interesting that Albert Einstein was born on this day in 1879 and 2018 in that day Stephen Hawking died. No wonder, according to the decision of the International Mathematical Union and UNESCO in 2019, World Mathematics Day has also been celebrated since March 14 last year.

Although, as early as the 3rd millennium BC, trigonometry was also used by the ancient Babylonians, they engraved correlations corresponding to today’s sine and cosine. Mathematics is very important to humanity in many areas, including the prevention of epidemics.
