Intelligent urban traffic management system is developed in strategic cooperation by Gamax Informatikai és Munkaerő-kölcsönző Kft., BME Department of Network Systems and Services and Racionet Zrt.

The consortium received a grant of HUF 1,456 billion for the project with a total cost of HUF 2,371 billion in the Competitiveness and Excellence Cooperation Program of the National Office for Research, Development and Innovation.

The project includes the development of a dispatch center the authority will be able to intervene in traffic by controlling traffic lights, and route planner will provide a mobile map application for road users. This will reduce urban congestion and congestion, thus reducing traffic. The entire system will also use artificial intelligence algorithms and machine learning to analyze the data.

The system to be developed will be marketable not only domestically but also internationally to cities where population and traffic anomalies justify it, Gamax said.
