The Roots to stage virtual festival with Michelle Obama
Hip-hop stars The Roots are taking their yearly music festival, Roots Picnic, online and turning it into a citizen registration drive with the assistance of former U.S. First Girl Michelle Obama.
Frontman Questlove, otherwise referred to as Ahmir Khalib Thompson, and his bandmates had to hold off the summer season event in their home town of Philadelphia due to the coronavirus pandemic.
