Swedish handball players lose their second match in a row in the last seconds
The Swedish men’s handball team lost points in the second stage match of the important world championship on Friday, losing the second game in a row in the last seconds. Sweden fought a draw 28:28 (15:14) against Slovenia in the fourth group match

For the Egyptians, Ahmed Elahmar was the top scorer with eight goals, but Mohamed Mamduh stood out seven times.
Also in the fourth group, the Russian Handball was successful. the federation team that defeated Northern Macedonia 32:20 (19: 9). Igor Sorok had six accurate shots for the Russians. In this subgroup, after four games, Egypt and Sweden have six points each, the Russian Handball Federation and Slovenia have scored five points, Belarus has two points and Northern Macedonia has a score.
Meanwhile, in the third group, the championship is continued without losses by France, which defeated Iceland with the result 28:26 (16:14). The French scored seven goals for Dick Mems, while the Icelanders scored two goals for Bjarki Maram Elison. In the Icelandic national team, the tournament ended for Latvian handball player Aleksandrs Pētersons, who went home for personal reasons. Also in this group the vice-champion Norway beat Algeria with the result 36:23 (17:11). Alexander Kristofeschen Blonz was the top scorer for the Norwegians with seven goals scored.
Portugal was also successful, with 33:29 ( 17:15) played for the Swiss national team. Viktors Ituriza scored seven goals for the Portuguese, but Andi Šmida’s 11 accurate shots did not save the Swiss. In the third group, the leader with eight points in four games is France, six points for Norway and Portugal, two for Iceland and Switzerland, and Algeria is empty.
The World Handball Championship in and around Cairo takes place from 13 to 31 January. In the first stage of the main tournament, 32 teams are divided into eight subgroups of four each. The second stage was reached by the three best teams in each group. The Danes won their first title in history at the championships in Denmark and Germany two years ago, beating the Norwegians in the final with 31:22.
