Super Nintendo World Osaka closes its doors again

Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan is closing again due to an increasing number of Corona infections.

The park opened last month (May 18) and must now close the doors again, albeit temporarily. The park will be closed as a precaution to prevent further spread of the Corona virus. Shortly before the closing of the amusement park, a state of emergency was declared in the Japanese cities of Osake and Tokyo.

The opening of the amusement park in Osaka was scheduled for last summer, but was postponed to February 2021. That date was also moved to March 18. In addition to the Japanese location, work is also being done on a park in Orlando, United States. That opening seems to have been delayed to 2025.

Super Nintendo World is a amusement park based on the Super Mario games. For example, attractions based on Mario Kart and parts of the Mushroom Kingdom have been recreated.
