The left leg crooked by the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Boston “Celtics” vocal leader Markus Smart, who was injured in last game against the Los Angeles Lakers (95:96).
He was not in physical contact with any of the Lakers at the time of the injury. The basketball player fought well in defense against Montrezal Herel, but after landing he took a step, fell to the floor and could no longer put his foot on the weight. He will be subjected to magnetic resonance imaging to see if Smart has broken the Achilles tendon. In that case, the season will be over for him.
Smart, 26, is spending his best season in his career, averaging 13, 1 point and 6.1 assists, which are his career records. The Celtics are one of the strongest teams at the Eastern Conference this season, as Jason Tate continues to perform well, but Jane Brown has made great progress. The loss of odor from the line-up would be a severe blow to the Boston club.
Celtics’ Marcus Smart has a left calf strain, team says.
