ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Tuesday administered the oath of office to Senator Shibli Faraz a day after he was informed as Federal Minister for Info and Broadcast.

According to a news release, the oath- taking event was held at the President House.

Faraz, the kid of veteran poet late Ahmad Faraz, was revealed by Prime Minister Imran Khan for the stated office in a cabinet shakeup which took numerous by surprise. In addition to it, the prime minister likewise changed his now-former Unique Assistant on Info and Broadcast Firdous Ashiq Awan and generated Lt Gen (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa, former director general of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in her location.

A notified source had informed Pakistan Today that Awan was eliminated on charges of supposed corruption and abuse of authority.
