As we are about to end the financial year 2020-2021, Bollywood is already showing signs of returning to normalcy. Theaters are now open at 100% capacity and production houses are scouring for the perfect release dates. In fact, we have some really interesting projects lined up in March 2021 itself. Times are definitely looking exciting and popular film critic and senior trade expert Komal Nahata gives us a low down on all the films and stars who are making the right kind of buzz right now. Right from Roohi hitting screens on 11th March and Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon’s horror-comedy Bhediya going on floors in Arunanchal Pradesh, to Arjun Kapoor’s Sardar Ka Grandson taking the OTT route and Sooraj Barjatya’s next big project with Amitabh Bachchan, here’s all that is keeping trade abuzz. A special mention to debut actor Mohit Chadda’s Flight which is getting ready to take off on the big screens on March 19, 2021. While the big wigs like Farhan Akhtar taking his film directly on OTT (for his film Toofan directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra), Mohit is paving the way for young and upcoming actors and filmmakers by releasing his films in theatres. It is releasing alongside John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi’s Mumbai Saga, and these two big action extravaganzas are aiming to give the audience two exciting and enthralling reasons to book their tickets. The worst of lockdown and the pandemic may be over, but the coronavirus scare still looms large. In this scenario, it remains to be seen how ready the audience is to get back to watching films on the big screens. The box office reports of the films releasing in March 2021 will provide a great insight into what the future holds for filmmakers. It will also help all those mulling over playing safe on OTT, to decide on the right platform for their projects. Also Read – Alia Bhatt, Farhan Akhtar to team up for a female road trip film!
