New logo symbolizes Renault’s entry into a new era

The geometric shape of the iconic Renault diamond represents the French brand since 1925, but now it will gain a new image.

The renewed Renault symbol appeared in January at the ‘Renaulution’ event and with the presentation of the new Renault 5 Prototype .

Since then the use of the new logo has been gradual, first with the advertising campaign for the new Zoe and then through Renault social networks.

“Diamond is one of the most recognized shapes in the world and in the automobile world. It is a simple geometric shape, with a strong and powerful identity. The challenge was to renew this form, giving it meaning, together with new contemporary values, to project the brand in the future ”, underlined Gilles Vidal, Renault’s design director

Throughout its history, Renault has changed its visual identity several times. One thing that has never changed since 1925 is the shape of the diamond that serves as the basis for the logo – an iconic emblem of the brand.

The current logo – created in 1992 and redesigned in 2015 – has now been subject to a new change referring to a more classic philosophy, recovering the identity standards of the brand’s past and which symbolizes Renault’s entry into a new era

The French brand has already made it known that the new logo in this way will be applied gradually to Renault vehicles.

“In 2024, the entire Renault range will be equipped with this new logo” , concludes Gilles Vidal.
