PTM leader Arif Wazir dies after being attacked

ISLAMABAD: Pashtun Tahaffuz Motion (PTM) leader Arif Wazir, who was attacked by unknown enemies outside his home in Wana, South Waziristan a day previously, passed away in Islamabad on Saturday.

The news was verified by Wana Station House Officer (SHO) Usman Khan who stated that Wazir had actually died after being moved to Islamabad for treatment.

According to an official, Wazir was walking outside his house in Ghwa Khwa near Wana on Friday when equipped individuals opened fire from a movingvehicle The official stated that Wazir got dangerous injuries.

He was at first confessed to the District Head Office Health Center, Wana, however later on moved to a concealed healthcare facility in Islamabad.

The deceased was the first cousin of PTM legislator Ali Wazir.
