Prohibition of movement between municipalities at Easter starts earlier
Please note that the Government has changed the rule for next weekend
The ban on movement between municipalities in mainland Portugal during Easter week will start earlier, having been anticipated to start at 00:00 on Friday.
“It is forbidden to travel outside the municipality of the domicile in the period between 20:00 on Friday and 05:00 on Monday and, daily, from 00:00 on March 26, without prejudice to the foreseen exceptions ” , reveals the rectification statement published in Diário da República.
Remember that previously, it was only mentioned in the article on the limitation of circulation between municipalities of the decree of 13 March that regulates the state of emergency in force until March 31, which was prohibited the movement out of the municipality of the domicile in the period between 20: 00 Friday and at 5:00 am on Monday.
In this way, during Easter week the ban on movement between municipalities starts earlier and will end later, in order to prevent those who might want to leave their home area before the weekend.
The ban starts on March 26, Friday , and extends until 5:00 am on April 5, Monday.
