Police search for man missing in River Thames in Cookham, Berkshire

Police are browsing a stretch of the River Thames following reports a man is missing after getting in the water.

Thames Valley Police was at the scene of the event in Cookham, Berkshire on Tuesday night in addition to ambulance and fire teams.

The force stated it had actually been reported that a man entered into the river and was not seen emerging from it.

“We are on the scene in Odney Lane, in Cookham, following a report of a fear for welfare,” it stated.

” It was reported that a man had actually gotten in the water.

“Officers are working to locate the man, who was not seen to get out of the water.”

Pictures taken at the scene appear to show rescue employees in boats on the river.

The event appears to have actually taken place near The Ferryboat bar in Cookham.

South Central Ambulance Service, which was at the scene, posted a message on Twitter to reject that 3 kids had actually drowned in the event.

It stated: “Reports of three boys having drowned in this incident are not correct.”
