Police hunt jogger who kicked cygnet out of his way in Richmond Park

Police are trying to find a male who kicked a newborn cygnet out of his way while running rather of walking around the young swan.

The “desperately poorly” bird is feared to have mental retardation and is being taken care of at a close-by sanctuary following the occurrence in London’s Richmond Park.

Met Police officers for the Royal Parks have actually released an appeal for witnesses.

They states the suspect is a white male around 60 years of ages, 5ft 6in, and was using black running shorts and a vest at the time.

The occurrence occurred around 5.30 pm on Monday at the Pen Ponds location in the middle of the south-west London park.

Police stated they had actually talked to personnel at the Swan Sanctuary, based in Shepperton, Middlesex, who stated the cygnet is “still desperately poorly”.

“Unfortunately it’s not looking good for the cygnet,” Royal Parks Police posted on Twitter.
