Police arrest Aasia Bibi’s sister for husband’s murder
Najma Bibi, the sister of Aasia Bibi who was acquitted by the Supreme Court (SC) in a blasphemy case in 2018, was jailed by the police on Wednesday for being an accomplice in her husband’s murder.
2 days earlier, Younus Masih, 52, who operated at the estate of a proprietor, was discovered dead with his throat slit in a field. He came from Mananwala and had actually settled in Khanpur for work together with his spouse and 2 children, a 14- year-old child and a 12- years of age kid.
Younas’ family notified the police that the 28- year-old Najma was having an adulterous affair with a male called Irfan Dogar and they killed Younas together after he discovered their affair.
Sheikhupura DPO Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin designated the case to Factory Location SHO Muhammad Afzal Dogar and Sub-Inspector Wali Hasan Pasha. The police jailed Najma and Irfan and they admitted to their criminal activity throughout interrogation.
Aasia Bibi was founded guilty in 2010 of passing negative remarks about Islam after neighbours operating in the fields with her challenged her drinking water from their glass due to the fact that she was not a Muslim. She invested 8 years on death row. She was launched in October 2018 after the leading court reversed her conviction, stating there were “glaring and stark” contradictions in the event versus her.
She left Pakistan for Canada in May2019 Previously this year, Aasia was welcomed to reside in France after a conference with French President Emmanuel Macron. In spite of her experience, Aasia stated she still felt favorable about Pakistan and wished to return there one day.
