Resident Evil Village may have a difficulty setting where items and enemies are randomly placed in the game world.

That claims the generally reliable insider AestheticGamer on Twitter. Via various messages, he claims that a mode will appear in the game when players have finished the campaign, which makes the placement of items and enemies random. In addition, the difficulty in this mode would be extremely high. Capcom has not yet confirmed this rumor.

Resident Evil Village is the eighth installment in the franchise and features Chris Redfield from the original game. The game revolves around Ethan Winter, who travels to a cold Louisiana to find his missing wife and stumbles upon mysterious figures. The game will be released on May 7 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One and PC. Buyers will also receive Resident Evil Re: Verse Free Multiplayer.
