Cisco WebEx may not be the video conferencing system most people are familiar with, especially Microsoft Teams or Zoom, when people come to mind when it comes to this topic. However, it will be worth paying close attention to Cisco’s own platform as well, as it will be expanded with a rather useful feature.

The full version will not be live until May this year, but you can already see what WebEx will know. : the platform will be able to translate in more than 100 languages in real time, ie display on the screen in text what our interlocutor has just said in English

This will be a big leap for Cisco, as this option has so far only it was only available in 10 languages, so they practically doubled their coverage. Cisco officials say all of this is very useful simply because many people are currently using external (paid) applications to solve this problem.

This is not yet the level that C-3PO is capable of in Star Wars, but the 100 languages that WebEx will have from May may be an important step on the road to more than seven million languages and forms of communication.
