New Isuzu D-Max is coming and already has launch prices
New generation of pick-up comes loaded with developments
The new Isuzu D-Max is coming to Portuguese market in the coming days and there are already launch prices for the evolution of design, equipment and technological resources of the pick-up.
The new generation of D-Max redesigned the front and rear LED optics, the fog lights and bumpers, the new 18 “alloy wheels for a” more modern “style. What’s new are also the wider doors and a two-tiered rear bumper to improve access to the interior and cargo space – the higher ground clearance allows for improved attack and exit angles.
The interior of the D-Max is more spacious and comfortable with redesigned seats, tougher and more pleasant fabrics and a more ‘premium’ environment with a set of silver or piano black accents.
The Isuzu pick-up now also comes with the ADAS System (Advance Driver) Standard Assist Sistem) including driving assistance technologies such as frontal collision brake, traffic sign recognition system, lane departure audible warning, intelligent speed limiter, blind spot or overtaking hazard detection or vehicle detection alerts when reversing.
Interior technology also includes a new DVD audio system with and 9 ”screen, steering wheel controls and connections to Android or Apple platforms.
Regardless of the cab configuration, all versions have more than one ton of payload with more space in length, width and height due to the redesign of the box.
The 1.9 Liter Diesel block maintains the 164 hp power improving performance and consumption: the Variable Geometry Turbo is now electronically controlled, the ‘Start Stop’ system is adopted, the fuel rail pressure is increased to 2,500 bar (compared to the previous 2,000 bar) and is introduced the exhaust gas treatment system with the use of AdBlue.
The new D-Max maintains the options for manual or automatic 6-speed transmissions (the last with improvements in calibration). Driving benefits from a new electric assisted steering that increases the turning angle and adjusts depending on speed, as well as the rear differential lock improves performance.
The new generation of D-Max simultaneously introduces all the cab configurations on the market: Single 2 Seater, Long 3 Seater and Double 3 and 5 Seater, as well as two traction systems (4X2 and 4X4). The entry price of the range is 24,300 euros (Single Cab 4X2) and goes up to 38,500 euros (LSE 4X4 Double Cab and automatic transmission) – values without VAT.
