U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated on Friday the House will establish a panel to manage expenses under the $2.2 trillion coronavirus relief law.

Pelosi commented in an MSNBC interview when inquired about a declaration by President Donald Trump turning down elements of an arrangement in the law establishing an inspector general to investigate some financial investments and loans.

“Congress will exercise its oversight, and we will have our panel … appointed by the House, in real-time to make sure we know where those funds are being expended,” Pelosi stated.
