The MotoGP World Championship is back with the first official tests of the season, which this weekend takes place at the Losail Circuit.

This Friday the shakedown took place, a session reserved for test riders and rookies of the new season, which was dominated by Stefan Bradl (Honda), who rode his best lap in 1´55614s, having completed 60 laps on the Losail track, despite the strong wind that was felt and which compromised the work of the pilots on the track.

In addition to Bradl, the three Yamaha test riders, Cal Crutchlow, Katsuyuki Nakasuga and Kohta Nozane, as well as Michele Pirro (Ducati), Lorenzo Savadori (Aprilia), Sylvain Guintoli and Takuya Tsuda (Suzuki), Jorge Martin (Pramac), Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini ( Avintia), as well as Dani Pedrosa (KTM).

On Saturday and Sunday, all the riders and bikes that make up the grid for the new MotoGP season come into action, with emphasis on Miguel Oliveira who will make his debut in the official KTM team in the premier class.

Absent from this testing session is Marc Márquez , who continues to recover from the fracture in the humerus of his right arm, suffered in the opening race of the 2020 season.

Each day of pre-season testing will allow pilots and teams to work for seven hours between 11 am and 6 pm, (mainland Portugal time), from in order to find the most correct settings for the new bikes they will use in the season that will start on March 28 with the Qatar GP.
