The Beoplay Portal can be connected via 2.4 GHz WiFi connect to Xbox Series X and S and Xbox One, but also works on PC and other devices with support for bluetooth 5.1 and aptX Adaptive, a bluetooth alternative from Qualcomm.

According to Microsoft, the headset lasts 12 hours when used on Xbox consoles and takes about 3 hours to charge. Via Bluetooth, the battery life must be twice as long.

The Beoplay Portal also contains a ‘virtual microphone arm’, with which it records speech without an actual microphone arm. Furthermore, users can adjust the sound of the headphones via the accompanying Bang & Olufson application, including special settings for shooters and RPGs.

The headset costs so ‘ n 499 euros and is the first product in the Designed for Xbox line, Microsoft says. Products in the line have specific features and extras for Xbox consoles.
