Premiere will focus on light commercials

Maxus, a brand specializing in MPV, SUV, pick- ups and commercial vehicles, will enter the national market in the second quarter of this year through the Bergé Auto Group, which already has the presence in Portugal of the brands Fuso, Isuzu, Kia and Mitsubishi.

Heir to the historical heritage of LDV – Leyland DAF Vans, Maxus is a brand in the SAIC Motor Corporation universe, which is “the largest automobile manufacturer in China and the sixth largest in the world”, as Bergé points out.

Maxus will debut its entry into the Portuguese market with a range centered on commercial vehicles

Acquired by SAIC in 2009, LDV was renamed in 2020 and changed its name to Maxus by adding the English words ‘max’ (‘maximum’) and ‘us’.
