British brand launches five new versions with improved specifications to celebrate the end of the production of two icons

Lotus is preparing to put an end to the production of two of its models most iconic, the Elise and the Exige, and for that purpose prepared a special edition of five cars that the British brand says have greater power.

The ‘Final Edition’ line, has five new variants, two of the Elise model and three of the Exige, which according to Lotus are equipped with the most extensive list of finishes of all time.

The biggest change is registered to the TFT digital panel, which is totally new with the option of two types of screens, one with a conventional set of dials and the other in the style of racing car with panel. of digital instruments.

The steering wheel has a new design and is covered in leather and alcantara, in addition it has a flat base to create a better clearance for the feet. inside the tallest drivers and to help with entry and exit.

The seats of these latest ‘Final Edition’ models have new finishes and standards.

Outside, a new color selection was introduced for the Elise Sport 240 and Elise Cup 250, which recall some of the color schemes that Lotus used in the past of this model and where the Azure Blue stands out, the color used in the first production car images in 1996, or Racing Green, the color of the model that the British brand presented at the 1995 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Replacing the Elise Sport 220, the new Lotus Elise Sport 240 ‘Final Edition’ comes equipped with an improved 1.8-liter engine, which makes 23 hp more available than its predecessor, that is, a power of 240 hp and a torque of 244 Nm.

Lotus has revealed that this model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds.

The rims in an 10-ray tracite are half a kilo lighter than those of the previous version and are part of a larger diet that may optionally include carbon fiber panels.

Elise Cup 250 ‘Final Edition A’, has a set of aerodynamic adjustments, as well as Bilstein sport dampers, or adjustable stabilizer bars and carbon fiber details, which allows the weight to be reduced to up to 931 kg.

The three Exige models from the limited edition Final Edition, the Exige Sport 390, Exige Sport 420 and Exige Cup 430, are equipped with a 3.5-liter supercharged V6 block.

The Exige Sport 390 replaces the 350 model and the change implies an overhaul of the engine that will make 47 more hp available, for a total of 397 hp.

This way the Demands Sport 390 accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 277 km / h in a car that weighs 1,138 kg.

The Exige Sport 420, on the other hand, has 10 hp more power than the Sport 410, for a total power of 420 hp, which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 290 km / h.

This model of the ‘Final Edition’ edition is fitted as standard with adjustable stabilizer bars and AP Racing brakes, among other details.

The Exige Cup 430 Final Edition is the most powerful version of this limited edition, with a block that delivers 430 hp of power and allows you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 280 km / h.

This muscular version of the Exige Cup has several carbon fiber panels and 17 ultra-light wheels inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear axle, in addition to a titanium exhaust.

These homage versions of the two legendary Lotus models will be available in some European markets with prices starting at 56.50 0 euros in Germany for the Elise Sport 240 and 79,910 euros for the Exige Sport 390.
