Lexus debuts F Sport Performance line with the 472 hp IS 500
New model has a 5.0 liter V8 atmospheric engine
Lexus unveiled this Monday a new IS that debuts the F Sport Performance line and inscribes on its business card the title of the most powerful version ever with regard to this model of the Toyota group’s premium brand.
The Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance is equipped with a 5.0 liter V8 atmospheric engine with 472 hp at 7,100 rpm and a maximum torque of 535 Nm at 4,800 rpm and with automatic transmission. 8 speeds already present in the IS 300 and IS 350 rear-wheel drive. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is done with the IS 500 in 4.6 seconds.
The lift in relation to the F Sport versions is not only due to the power of the engine, whose roar can be appreciated by the four exhaust system inspired by the RC F, but also by a weight reduction, which is 69 kg less compared to the IS 350 F Sport with the 3.5-liter V6.
The rear-wheel drive Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance comes with standard features like the suspension adaptive variable and Torsen limited slip differential, as well as 19 ” Enkei wheels lighter than F Sport.
Housing the powerful V8 is a larger front with a hood with a more sculpted center and about 5 cm higher than that of the IS 350.
