Kanye West has revealed he is running for US president – and he has currently won the backing of billionaire Elon Musk.

The American rap star posted a message to his 29.4 million Twitter followers in which he recommended he was going into the 2020 governmental race.

We should now recognize the pledge of America by relying on God, unifying our vision and structure ourfuture I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION

“We must now realize (sic) the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future,” he composed.

“I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION.”

Tesla president Musk reacted to West’s tweet, stating: “You have my full support!”

West’s other half, reality TELEVISION star Kim Kardashian West, likewise reacted to her other half’s message by retweeting it with an emoji portraying the American flag.

It was not instantly clear if West was severe about contending for the presidency 4 months prior to the vote happens on 3 November, or if he had actually submitted any official documentation to appear on state election ballots.

The due date to add independent prospects to the tally has not yet passed in lots of states.

US President Donald Trump – who West has been a singing fan of in the past – is set to go head- to- head with Democratic prospect Joe Biden in November’s election.

It is not the first time that 43- year- old West has revealed he is running for president.

The rapper – who is stated to have a net worth valued at $1.3 bn (₤ 1.05 bn) – informed a crowd at a New york city business celebration in 2015 that he would run for president in 2024

And at MTV’s Video Music Awards in 2015, West stated he had “decided in 2020 to run for president”.
