Jrpg Astria Ascending is made by Final Fantasy veterans

This weekend, developer Artisan unveiled the jrpg Astria Ascending. The game will be released on consoles and PC in 2021.

The game revolves around eight demigods who must protect the world of Orcanon from evil. The trailer below shows the different races of the alternate RPG, and some of the twenty different classes. The game also contains various mini games, including candle games, shoot ’em ups and environmental puzzles.

Astria Ascending is written by Kazushige Nojima, known for Final Fantasy, among others. 10 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The music will also be composed by Final Fantasy 12 composer Hitoshi Sakimoto and several Bravely Default and Nier: Automata veterans will participate in the game.

Astria Ascending should be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2021. The game will also be available for Xbox Game Pass.
