Curtis plays the role of archaeologist Tannis. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “she may be the key to finding the vault, but her complicated history with Lilith isn’t going to help.” Jamie Lee Curtis is known for her roles in True Lies, Halloween, Knives Out and Freaky Friday.

In 2015 it was announced that a film based out of Borderlands was in the making. Last year it was announced that Eli Roth will be directing and Oscar winner Cate Blanchett will star as Lilith. It is now also known that Kevin Hart plays soldier Roland. The film’s script was written by Craig Mazin, creator of the acclaimed HBO series Chernobyl.

There is no release date for the film yet. Shooting is expected to begin in Hungary soon.
