Indian Idol 12 contestant Pawandeep Rajan was recently tested positive for Covid-19. He was quarantined in a hotel room. Soon after, news of another contestant Ashish Kulkarni testing positive for Covid-19 also came a shock. There’s a good news to the fans as both Pawandeep and Ashish have now been tested negative and they are fit and fine.
“They both have tested negative, now. They can shoot from tomorrow onward if required,” Akash Tiwari, Production Head of Indian Idol 12, told TOI.
There were reports that Pawandeep and Ashish will be performing from their hotel room where they are quarantined. However, Tiwari has dismissed the reports and said that it would be unethical to make these two contestant sing while they are battling a deadly virus. “So next week, you won’t see both of them performing,” he added.
A few days ago, Indian Idol 12 host Aditya Narayan had also tested positive for Covid-19. He was replaced by Rithvik Dhanjani as the show’s host until Aditya returns to the stage after his recovery. Judges Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani are also being tested regularly along with the rest of the contestants.
Indian Idol 12 may has been in the news for its alleged unfair eliminations and faking love angle between Pawandeep and Arunita Kanjilal, the singing reality show has also been entertaining the audience like never before. Indian Idol 12 is now among the top 5 shows on Indian television. The recent episode featuring Rekha had garnered maximum viewership.
