New Mustang Mach-E features minimalist cabin design

The automotive industry is experiencing a profound transformation which marks the arrival of a new era, and so Ford decided to show how the interior of its vehicles evolved from Model T to the new Mustang Mach-E.

To highlight the changes, Ford created a video that portrays the point of view of drivers in a dozen vehicles of the brand over the years, showing how the interior of cars has evolved since drivers actually kept gloves in the holder. gloves, since the metal and wood steering wheels were cold as ice during the winter.

The Mustang Mach-E, the 100% electric model of the brand has a cabin with minimalist design, despite the trend in recent decades towards more buttons, more features, more elements, Ford chose to remove the elements non-essentials of the cabin and children of a holistic space.

The result of this design aims to offer drivers a more comfortable and simple environment. In the case of the Mustang Mach-E, a large touchscreen was included, placed in a central position, which gathers in a single location most of the vehicle’s controls.

The smooth lines dashboard with integrated loudspeaker is the latest development of a continuous search for managing to make driving and traveling as harmonious as possible. For example, wireless charging zones and a user manual in digital format avoid the use of cables and paper.

“It has been an incredible journey towards the dynamic and holistic interior Mustang Mach-E, a cabin that offers more with less, giving priority to easy access to all main controls. We will continue to adopt this approach in our future models, listening to our customers and designing interiors that increasingly meet their needs ” , stressed Amko Leenarts, Design Director at Ford Europe.
