The members of the Libyan Parliament meeting in Sirte decided to postpone the vote on granting confidence to the new government until tomorrow, Wednesday, for further consultations on the proposed cabinet reshuffle and on the proposed amendments.

The Libyan prime minister was Abd Al-Hamid al-Dabaiba announced on Tuesday the amendment of the ministerial formation that he presented to Parliament, by removing the controversial names that faced parliamentary and popular objections and criticism, in a step through which he seeks to extract the confidence of Parliament.

However, these amendments have caused differences between Members of Parliament, regarding the mechanisms and criteria adopted by Dabaiba in this amendment, prompting the suspension of the session and then postponing it until tomorrow.

He called Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh, Dabaiba, to complete his ministerial formation and present it in full tomorrow, Wednesday, for a vote on it, and talked about the possibility of withdrawing confidence from any minister in the government formation in the event that 40 deputies submitted an objection to him.

The amendments prolonged the position of a deputy. The Prime Minister appointed Hussain Attia Al-Qatrani to replace Saqr Boujwari, as well as relinquishing Lamia Bou Sidra, the candidate to take over the portfolio of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and leaving it vacant until it is named in consultation between the Prime Minister and the Presidency Council, Marne al-Taib was removed from the position of Minister of State for Women’s Affairs, and the proposed Minister of Health, Khaled al-Jazwi, Ali al-Zinati replaced.
