Ferrari will compete again in the main category of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) 50 years later, preparing its hypercar for the 2023 season.

The Maranello brand announced on Tuesday the start of its Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) program with the development of the new car, which followed several weeks of studies, design and simulations.

Ferrari says that the track test program, the name of the car and the drivers will be revealed later, but the president of the Italian manufacturer, John Elkann, has not left, as of now , to mention the importance of this return.

“With the new Le Mans Hypercar program, Ferrari sustains its sporting commitment and its determination to be a protagonist in the most global motorsport events. ”

Ferrari has left the main category of Resistance in 1973. The return is scheduled for 2023 in the new class of hypercars from Le Mans.
