Kia unveiled the new EV6 showing the lines exteriors and interiors of its new electric crossover that will be officially presented in its full dimension this March.

The EV6 is the first electric vehicle (VE) from Kia with a dedicated platform – which, in this case, is the new Global Electric Platform (E-GMP) dedicated to electrifying the brand.

This new electrified “focus” of the South Korean brand takes shape with the brand’s new design philosophy inspired by the “United Opposites” present in Nature and Humanity resulting in an inspired vehicle crossover style.

“As the first VE with a dedicated Kia platform, the EV6 is a demonstration of progressive, people-centered design and electric propulsion. We are deeply convinced that this is an appealing and relevant model in the new EV market. With the EV6 we tried to create a distinctive and impactful design, combining sophisticated high-tech equipment and pure and rich spaces, while at the same time offering a unique futuristic VE space ”, says Karim Habib, senior vice president and head of the design center at

Based on the EV6, the design philosophy “United Opposites” will be present in all Kia models in the future. This philosophy is based on five fundamental design pillars: “Bold by Nature”; “Joy for Reason”; “Power to Progress”; “Technology for Life”; “Stress for Serenity.”

The exterior design of the new electric crossover it presents a front that transposes the tiger nose grid to the new ‘digital tiger face’ that reflects the new electrified era with the tapered daytime running lights inserted in a dynamic pattern above the air intake in a lowered position with also aerodynamic effect.

The “bold” wheel arch profile extends the sporty style between the steep windscreen and an inclined C-pillar with a rear that is also innovative in design leading to a second spoiler raised above the lights.

Inside, the Kia EV6 benefits from the new platform for electric vehicles offering “more space” than its predecessors VE also redefining this spatial use with new technology as it is the case of the high definition AVN (Audio, Video, Navigation) curved screen with an amplitude from the vola to the center of the vehicle in a concept of reducing the physical buttons that stand on the console.

Comfort is ensured by “light and contemporary” seats with “fabrics modern and robust ”and that are“ created from recycled plastic.
