Dead Cells has sold 5 million units worldwide. That reports developer Motion Twin.

The roguelike appeared in 2018 for consoles and PC, after which the game was ported to iOS and Android. Of the 5 million copies sold, 1 million were sold ‘within days’ in China. The game appeared there in February and debuted as the best-selling game on the App Store.

Motion Twin also announces that the Bad Seeds dlc will also be available on iOS and Android from March 30. The expansion costs 3.99 euros and offers new bosses, weapons and monsters, as well as an alternate route for the start of the game. The developer is also considering adding custom runs in future updates.
