Coronavirus: Trump says he has seen evidence coronavirus came from Wuhan lab
Donald Trump claims he has seen evidence the book coronavirus came from a Wuhan lab.
Speaking at a White House press conference, the United States president stated China either might not stop spread of the infection, or let it spread out.
Mr Trump stated he feels great the infection came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, including that United States authorities were “looking at it very, very strongly”.
“We’re going to see where it is – we’re going to see where it comes from,” he stated, “There’s a lot of theories.”
“China might even tell us,” he added.
Asked by a press reporter whether he had seen “anything that gives you a high degree of confidence” the institute was the origin of the infection, he reacted: “Yes I have.”
And asked a couple of minutes later on what provided him such self-confidence, he stated: “I can’t tell you that. I’m not allowed to tell you that.”
He declined to state whether he holds Chinese President Xi Jinping accountable for what he feels is false information.
However he did criticise China for stopping working to consist of the infection, stating: “This is something that could have been contained at the original location and it could have been contained relatively easily.”
He later on added: “One of 2 things took place. They either could not do it from a proficiency perspective or they let it spread out.
” I would state most likely it left control.”
