The lives of the doctor who are combating versus the unique coronavirus will be covered under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Bundle Insurance plan now. The Union Health Ministry on Tuesday stated 22.12 lakh public healthcare suppliers and neighborhood health workers losing lives due to coronavirus or while dealing with such clients will get an insurance cover of Rs 50 lakh.

The insurance cover will likewise consist of private health center personnel, retired personnel, volunteers, agreement workers, everyday wagers and even outsourced personnel worked with by the main and state federal governments and self-governing health care organizations, the ministry stated.

The insurance will offer a “comprehensive personal accident cover of Rs 50 lakh to a total of around 22.12 lakh public healthcare providers, including community health workers, who may have to be in direct contact and care of patients suffering from coronavirus infection and at the risk of being impacted by this”.

The period of the policy is 90 days, beginning with March30 There is no age limitation for this plan and specific enrolment is not required, it stated.

The ministry added that people are required to pay any premium to be qualified under the plan.

The whole quantity of premium for this plan is being borne by the Ministry ofHealth It will be moneyed through the NDRF budget run by the health ministry for this function, it stated.
