Coronavirus: Boxer Anthony Yarde’s grandmother dies just days after his father

British boxer Anthony Yarde has introduced his grandmother has died after contracting coronavirus, just just a few days after his father’s death as a result of the pandemic.

Yarde’s father, who the boxer stated had been “fit with no health issues”, died final Friday.

And the 28-year-old light-heavyweight stated his grandmother handed away on Thursday – and once more appealed to folks to remain at home.

“It’s serious!” Yarde wrote on social media.

“People are nonetheless going out after they needn’t.

“I do know there’s plenty of opinions about COVID-19 and I’ve mine however I just know opinions ain’t worth risking your life and others.

“Just stay home.”

Yarde’s next combat was set to be in opposition to fellow Briton Lyndon Arthur on 11 April, however the event has been delayed till 11 July due to the pandemic.

Yarde’s promoter Frank Warren wrote on Twitter: “We are extremely sad to learn that Anthony Yarde has now lost his Nan to the coronavirus.

“We won’t start to think about what Anthony and his family are going by and our honest condolences exit to them.

“Please listen to his heartfelt personal plea, stay at home to save lives.”
