Bloomberg: Nintendo is gearing up for record sales of games

Nintendo is preparing for another record year, according to Bloomberg sources.

This is the fiscal year starting April 1, 2021 and ending March 31, 2022. According to the company’s partners and suppliers, Nintendo forecasts to sell a total of 250 million games during that period, compared to 205 million copies during the current fiscal year. With that, Nintendo would again break a record.

According to Serkan Toto of consultation bureau Kantan Games, the prediction has to do with new hardware and ‘blockbuster games’ during the rest of the year. Bloomberg previously reported that a more powerful Switch model with an OLED screen will appear in the second half of 2021.

Nintendo has the full line-up for 2021. not disclosed. The biggest upcoming titles are Monster Hunter Rise, New Pokémon Snap, Mario Golf: Super Rush, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
