Wagon variant also has the version 50 TFSIe quattro

Audi has updated the plug-in hybrid A6 in with a larger capacity battery that maintains the same size but increases the electrical range.

The new 17.9 kWh lithium-ion battery ( replacing the previous 14.1 kWh) increases the electric range to 73 km (WLTP) and now comes with a charging capacity with a power of 7.4 kW allowing full charging in two and a half hours.

The driving modes now also include the ‘Charge’ which allows the battery to be charged by the engine combustion while driving. The dimensions of the battery placed at the rear of the vehicle have not changed, maintaining the load capacity on level ground.

The Audi A6 plug-in is available, as before, in versions 55 TFSIe (with total system power of 367 hp) and 50 TFSIe (with 299 hp) both combining a 2.0 TFSI engine with an electric motor integrated in the seven-speed S tronic automatic transmission.

The plug-in hybrid A6 range is also enhanced in the van variant with the A6 Avant 50 TFSIe quattro. Audi A6 PHEV prices start at 68,333 euros for the Limousine variant and 70,658 euros for Avant and pre-sales start in March.

The Audi A7 Sportback plug-in has also been updated with the same new battery as the A6, but the German brand has not released pricing for the updated version.

Audi pointed out, however, that with CO2 emissions below 50 g / km and autonomy in electric mode over 50 km, these PHEV versions of the A6 and A7 comply with “the recent ISV calculation rules introduced by the State, thus benefiting from a 75% support in the total value of the ISV”.

For companies, Audi adds that “versions will also be available with a price lower than 50,000 euros (before tax) in compliance with the rules established for deducting VAT and reducing autonomous tax brackets”.
