President Donald Trump on Sunday concurred that he still holds a grudge against Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah.) after he was inquired about the senator’s exemption from the congressional coronavirus task force for resuming the U.S. economy.

Romney, a long time business person and one-time Republican candidate for president, was the only GOP senator not welcomed to sign up with the bipartisan committee of legislators charged with opening back up the country, the members of which were revealed by the White House on Thursday. Previously this year, he was the sole Republican politician to vote to found guilty Trump for abuse of power throughout the Senate impeachment trial.

“Yeah, it does,” Trump informed a press reporter throughout a White House press instruction Sunday when asked if Romney’s exemption from the task force indicated he continued to hold a grudge against the senator.

“I’m not a fan of Mitt Romney. I don’t really want his advice,” he added, when the reporter kept in mind Romney’s experience as the former guv of Massachusetts.

Following Romney’s impeachment vote, he dealt with strong reaction on the right and from his GOPcolleagues Trump, with whom he currently had a controversial relationship, cast him as a phony Republican and a traitor.

Recently, the White House tapped House and Senate legislators to serve on the committee, called the “Opening Up America Again Congressional Group.” The members of the task force consist of 52 Republicans and 12 Democrats in the Senate, in addition to 22 GOP agents and 10 Democrats from your home.
