Arizona: Train catches fire after derailment – causing partial collapse of bridge

A train has actually captured fire after an evident derailment which triggered a bridge to partly collapse in Tempe Town Lake, Arizona.

Flames might be seen encountering the bridge after the event happened at around 6am regional time.

Cops chief Sylvia Moir shared images of the blaze on Twitter, reporting the train had actually thwarted.

She stated policeman and fire team were operating at the scene.

A Tempe Fire Department representative stated the event included a Union Pacific train that thwarted, causing a partial bridge collapse over Tempe Town Lake, regional media reported.

Around 90 firemens from several departments went to the scene, ABC15 Arizona added.

Authorities are apparently working to identify what remained in each of the train vehicles and if there might be additional threats.

No injuries have actually been reported up until now.

For safety determines all of Tempe Town Lake is closed till additional notification.

Tempe Cops stated some streets in the location are close-by and limited roadways might be affected due to smoke from the fire.

It is unidentified what triggered the derailment.
