Andre Fili acknowledges that battling is what he does best.

Andre Fili edged Charles Jourdain by split decision at UFC Vegas 2 on Saturday. While he enjoyed with his efficiency, the UFC featherweight, who moved into a sixth-place tie for the most division wins, acknowledges that Mixed Martial Arts is his main sport.

“I’m still a young guy. I got a chip on my shoulder,” Fili informed the media at his post- battle scrum. “I got a chip on my shoulder every day, bro. You should’ve seen some of the sh*t I survived, bro. I’ll have a chip on my shoulder until I’m 90 years old. Everybody who steps in the cage is trying to take something from me. Everything I have, I’ve fought for. I’ve never been good at anything else my whole life, dude. The only thing I’ve ever had is fighting. Every time I walk in the cage, Danny Castilo smacks me, tells me what we have. Because this is it for me, bro. This is my whole life. Like, everyone I fight is trying to take something from me, so I always have a chip on my shoulder. You lose a fight, you lose half your money. There’s no other sport like that. A basketball team might lose 30 games a season, they’re still the number-one team. You lose three fights, people are talking sh*t, telling you to retire. I mean, this sport is not like other sports, man. I’ll always have a chip on my shoulder, and you have to. You have to have a chip on your shoulder.”

Andre Fili is grateful to keep going.

Fili was grateful for his experience and felt in control throughout the entire battle. Fili wishes to reassess his next battle with his team and management, acknowledging that there is an appropriate method to call somebody out. With the win, Fili enhanced to 21 -7, together with his ninth UFC triumph.
