Fragrances do so much more than just make us smell good. They make us feel fresh and polished, they remind us of certain things, and they can even make a statement as to what kind of people we are. (Or are at the moment!) Simply put, fragrances inspire. Let’s take one of my favorites for example: Marc Jacobs’ Daisy. Though the original is a classic on its own, the variation on this sweet, fresh scent adds a twist that helps you tell the twins apart, so to speak.

Daisy carries a robust scent that brings to mind so many elements of nature, but it doesn’t stray from its feminine roots. Though it’s a bold scent, it’s not overpowering and maintains its effortlessness; it’s the kind of scent that reminds me of being barefoot in the grass, surrounded by sweet spring air. In personifying Daisy via style elements, I only reached for whites and neutral tones; I naturally went in a more bohemian, earthy direction that embraces both a youthful, feminine vibe with the white lace and the crop top, as well as elements of nature with the brown maxi skirt and the abalone shell necklace.

Now, Daisy Eau So Fresh is the slightly more vibrant and polished sister of Daisy. While the scent still exudes youthfulness and femininity, there’s an extra touch of floral notes in Daisy Eau So Fresh that makes it a bit more flirty and elegant. Naturally, I reached for floral prints with very cool color schemes: Blues, pinks, and reds to contrast the warm, simple tones of Daisy. These colors also help reinforce the youthful spirit of Daisy Eau So Fresh; though she’s a bit more refined, that young, giddy little girl is brimming right beneath the surface.

What’s so charming about Daisy and Daisy Eau So Fresh is that you don’t necessarily have to be one or the other. There are elements of each fragrance in every woman; you might one day identify more with the earthy simplicity of Daisy, and the next day the vibrant refinement of Daisy Eau So Fresh!
